| With proper care, your new
accordion will give a lifetime of pleasure and service. Several simple
precautions will insure that its outstanding tonal qualities and its exterior
finish will remain unimpaired:
1.) DO NOT touch the piano
keys or bass buttons when removing the accordion from its case. The
proper way to remove an accordion from its case is to hold it by its sides
when lifting.
2.) Shoulder strap adjustments:
Adjust both shoulder straps before putting accordion on. The strap
for the left shoulder should be shorter than the one for the right shoulder
in order to position the black keys in-line under your chin.
3.) Air Valve: The air valve
is located near the player's thumb which allows for opening and closing
the bellows without pressing any other keys.
4.) When your instrument
is not in use, always keep it in its carrying case to avoid excessive accumulation
of dust and humidity.
5.) When moving your instrument
from an excessively cold area, allow unit to warm up at room temperature
before operating.
6.) Periodically clean the
keys with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. Cleaner best suited for
your instrument is available at Mahler Music Center.
7.) In case your accordion
is damaged, DO NOT attempt to do your own repairs. Contact Mahler
Music Center for assistance.
8.) Do not expose to excessive
heat, direct sunlight or high intensity lamps. Never leave your accordion
in a closed car or hot attic in the summertime. |
