Scandinavian Accordion Favorites
Helge Lamo grew up in Norway and began playing the chromatic accordion at an early age before moving to the United States at age 20. He now resides in Minneapolis and continues to play every weekend at local clubs and special events. His band plays a “variety” of music for dancing, but his specialty is playing Scandinavian old time music. He’s featured on several recordings and appeared on both T.V. and Radio shows, such as “A Prairie Home Companion”. He hosted a local radio show on 90.3 FM for 15 years. Twelve songs including Golden Valley Reinlender, Hilsen Tilvenebu, Ranster Polka and Accordion Waltz.
